[The Knowledge Project Ep. #164] Ravi Gupta: The Realities of Success

Shane Parrish: I want to start with a question that I don’t think I’ve ever asked before on the show. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Ravi Gupta: I don’t know if it’s the best advice I’ve ever received, but it’s the advice that comes to mind when you say it. It’s from my dad, right when I first started working. He said, “Listen, son, don’t have a work personality and a home personality. It’ll just tire you out. You don’t want to have to live two different lives.” I’m sure there are way better versions of advice from when I was a kid, or any of that, around integrity, and all that, but the piece of advice that just came to mind when you asked was that one.
