The Knowledge Project Podcast Transcripts

[The Knowledge Project Ep. #72] Neil Pasricha: Happy Habits

Shane:  I’m curious, we spend a lot of time together, so we’ll probably be more familiar with each other than most of the guests that come on the show. One of the questions I meant to ask you last time we had dinner in Toronto was, what were the big lessons you learned from your parents?

Neil: So many. First of all, so my mom is from Nairobi, Kenya and she immigrated in this kind of dictatorship crisis of the early 1970s. She’s from a wealthy family, but they lost all their wealth in the India/Pakistan partition. Suddenly a poor family, the youngest of eight kids fleeing East Africa.
