Shane:   John, you’ve taught over six million people how to lead better, what surprised you the most during that time?

John:  I think the biggest surprise is that most people don’t qualify themselves as a leader. They think of it as a title or a position. And so whenever, I talk about leadership, it’s kind of like well, I’m not one of those. And yet what I do is I teach leadership as influence, nothing more, nothing less. And every person has influence. And then they kind of get excited because I say I can help you know how to increase your influence.
