Shane Parrish: I want to start with what’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned over the past year and why?
David Segal: Really that entrepreneurship is in many ways a personal journey disguised as a business pursuit. And what I mean by that is so much of it is managing your own psychology. Everybody talks about playing the long game, but it’s easier said than done. There are so many swings to the game when you’re building businesses. The lows are so low, the highs are so high as well, and it’s learning how to be able to tolerate those lows.
