“Real love is accepting other people the way they are without trying to change them.”

— Don Miguel Ruiz in The Four Agreements

Tiny Thought

Two Tiny Thoughts this week.

1.

Vacation won’t make things better. Changing jobs won’t make things better. Getting the recognition you deserve won’t make things better. Drugs won’t make things better.

TKP Podcast

I sat down with Kevin Kelly to discuss the importance of learning from those you disagree with, the power of deadlines, the importance of kindness, artificial intelligence, and much more.

“If your views on other things can be predicted from your views on one thing, you need to be very careful that you’re not in the grip of an ideologue.”

Listen on FS | Apple | Spotify | or read the professionally edited transcript if you’re a supporting member.

Etc.

J.K. Rowling on taking over:

“There is an expiry date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction; the moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you.”

The best intentions, the worst results:

“The issues facing San Francisco aren’t from a lack of funding. In 2021 alone, the city allocated $1.1 billion to its Department of Homelessness, and its budget has risen 500% since 2016. The results: Homelessness actually increased 64% during the same period. Where does all this money go?”

P.S. This is what perfect timing looks like.

P.P.S. These LMNT hydration packs have totally replaced every other type of electrolyte I used to use. (*not sponsored or an affiliate link, just a huge fan).
